Regardless of whether last week was a triumph or a disaster for your fantasy football team, things can change radically in Week 2. Fortunately, the experts at RotoBaller are here to help by giving Sporting News Fantasy readers free access to their exclusive “Who to Start?” advice tool to help with your Week 2 fantasy lineup decisions.

How does the “Who to Start?” tool work? Simple: Choose up to four players to compare below, pick your league settings in the upper right corner (PPR, half-PPR, standard), and push “Who to Start?” It’s that easy. From there, you’ll get a lineup recommendation based on RotoBaller’s award-winning rankings and projections.

Week 2 is notoriously difficult for fantasy owners. Having one week of data is often more dangerous than having none. Joe Burrow and the Bengals will bounce back, Puka Nacua will come back to earth, and the Chargers' pass defense can only get better. We'll see some sharp reversals this week compared to last week, so all we can do is follow the touches/targets and bank on proven talent winning out.

As always, RotoBaller factored in usage, matchups, and talent into its Week 2 rankings, and it’s reflected in its “Who to Start?” tool. Check out an example from each offensive position.

Advice below is based on full-point PPR leagues

Start or Sit?: Week 2 fantasy QB lineup advice from RotoBaller

Dak Prescott (vs. NYJ) vs. Anthony Richardson (@ HOU) vs. Jared Goff (vs. SEA) vs. Geno Smith (@ DET)

This one isn't particularly close to RotoBaller -- they like the rookie Richardson by several spots over Goff, who narrowly edges out Smith. Prescott is bringing up the rear against the Jets' nasty defense, which might surprise some since he was undoubtedly drafted first among this quartet. Let that be a lesson -- once the season starts, things change in a hurry, and RotoBaller is adapting to the impressive dual-threat ability Richardson showed in his first start.

Start or Sit?: Week 2 fantasy RB lineup advice from RotoBaller

Jamaal Williams (@ CAR) vs. Jahmyr Gibbs (vs. SEA) vs. Brian Robinson Jr. (@ DEN) vs. Tyler Allgeier (vs. GB)

Gibbs gets the nod here in RotoBaller's rankings, likely because he's the most talented. It doesn't hurt that Lions' coach Dan Campbell said after last week's game that Gibbs would be more involved in the offense. Williams is a few spots behind Gibbs, likely because he doesn't have to share his backfield like Allgeier and Robinson do. Even though they both scored last week, RotoBaller ranks them well behind Gibbs and Williams.

WEEK 2 STANDARD RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

Start or Sit?: Week 2 fantasy WR lineup advice from RotoBaller

Marquise Brown (vs. NYG) vs. Christian Kirk (@ KC) vs. Jahan Dotson (@ DEN) vs. George Pickens (vs. CLE)

All four of these receivers disappointed last week, so they're likely on the start-sit bubble for many. RotoBaller likes Dotson the best, ranking him a few spots above Pickens. Kirk is next, followed by Brown, who easily has the worst QB of the bunch. Kirk likely has the best matchup in what could be a shootout, but Dotson is a little safer bet for targets. Ultimately, all of these receivers can work as boom-or-bust WR3s or flexes, depending on the size of your league.

WEEK 2 PPR RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

Start or Sit?: Week 2 fantasy TE lineup advice from RotoBaller

Kyle Pitts (vs. GB) vs. Hunter Henry (vs. MIA) vs. Sam LaPorta (vs. SEA) vs. Pat Freiermuth (vs. CLE)

Henry was one of last week's biggest TE breakouts, but he's still behind Pitts in RotoBaller's rankings. No matter how many times Pitts disappoints, fantasy owners will always be tantalized by his upside. Freiermuth and LaPorta are one and three spots behind Henry, respectively, so this bunch is largely interchangeable.
