Mike Williams looked fine after leaving Sunday's game early, but now the Chargers are concerned about his Week 2 status. The same is true for Tyler Lockett, who we didn't even know was hurt but now introduces risk into Week 2 WR rankings. Both potential absences could thrust sleepers into larger roles. We're also waiting for further news on JuJu Smith-Schuster, who sustained a toe injury on Sunday night. Fantasy start 'em, sit 'em decisions just keep getting tougher.

JuJu Smith-Schuster injury update
Smith-Schuster injured his toe late in Sunday's blowout loss to the Patriots. X-rays came back negative, though. He was a limited participant in practice Wednesday.
Mike Tomlin has answered questions this week about Smith-Schuster handling double teams as if he has no concern about his star wideout missing action. If Smith-Schuster were to get worse and be a surprise inactive, it could elevate big-play threat James Washington into a bigger role in Pittsburgh and make him a legit WR3. Donte Moncrief would also see more targets, but his drop-filled performance in Week 1, he might not see as many targets.

Tyler Lockett injury news
Lockett was limited to just one catch in Week 1, but there wasn't news of an injury until he didn't participate in Wednesday's Seahawks' practice due to what's listed as a back injury. A missed Wednesday practice ahead of a Sunday game only means something if Lockett were to miss action on Thursday and/or Friday, too.
D.K. Metcalf looked NFL ready in his debut and would step into an even larger role if Lockett missed Week 2. Against a Steelers' defense that the Patriots shredded down the field, Metcalf would be a deserving WR3 in that case. Jaron Brown would step into an increased role, as well, and be a desperation FLEX play with Lockett out.

Will Mike Williams play Week 2?
UPDATE: Williams did not practice on Thursday. If he misses practice Friday, it's highly unlikely he'll play against the Lions.
It just gets worse for the Chargers. Hunter Henry's fractured left knee was announced Wednesday, and later in the day L.A. head coach Anthony Lynn said that he's "absolutely" concerned about Mike Williams' hurting knee heading into Week 2. Williams had been seen walking out of the locker room on Sunday just fine, but apparently the injury that knocked him out late in Week 1 hasn't gone away.
Travis Benjamin would likely start opposite Keenan Allen if Williams missed Week 2 action. The Chargers are already facing the prospect of starting Virgil Green at TE with Henry out. If there was any doubt about Austin Ekeler being an automatic start after a big week and against a poor Lions' defense, there shouldn't be any longer. He should be force fed both on the ground and through the air.

How long will Sam Darnold be out?
Jets head coach Adam Gase told reporters on Thursday that Sam Darnold has mono and will miss Monday night's game against the Browns. Darnold is expected to miss multiple weeks. Trevor Siemian will start in his absence.
Darnold wouldn't have been a fantasy starter except in two-QB leagues. Jamison Crowder will be unlikely to come close to his 14-catch Week 1 while Darnold is out, and Siemian doesn't throw as good a deep ball for Robby Anderson, either, so all Jets WRs can be downgraded at least slightly.
