NFL DFS picks Week 14: Best sleepers, value players for FanDuel, DraftKings, SuperDraft lineups image

December football is in full swing, and many fantasy football owners either find themselves locked into the playoffs or stuck on the outside looking in. The latter crowd can fall back on daily fantasy, and we're here to help you make some DFS cash. As we do every Tuesday, we wipe the slate clean and highlight the top sleepers and values on DraftKings, FanDuel, and SuperDraft for the Week 14 main slate.

We'll do all the leg work for you — scouring the player pools like my daughter searching through her favorite Where's Waldo book, handpicking the most promising sleepers, and telling you why they're worth drafting to your next DFS squad. All you have to do is choose your favorites, sit back, and relax.

By capitalizing on affordable sleepers in certain DFS roster spots, we leave ourselves the budget to greatly improve other roster spots with weekly studs. Let's face it, in order to afford a Christian McCaffrey ($9,200 on DK), you must invest in the occasional Alec Pierce ($3,700).

We have enjoyed consistent success with our DFS sleepers and values all season. Each Tuesday, we share a big list of our hits from the previous week. — with each hit typically netting 14-22 fantasy points. Throughout the year, we've been consistently ahead of the game on breakouts like Puka Nacua, Kyren Williams, and Tank Dell, among many others.

WEEK 14 FANTASY ADVICE:
Sleepers | Busts | Projections | Start-sit

Take a look at our collection of hits from last week:

Pos. Player Wk. 13 Game DK Price Pts
QB Brock Purdy 49ers at Eagles $6,100  32.5
QB Russell Wilson Broncos at Texans $5,700 18.8
QB Sam Howell Commanders vs. Dolphins $6.200 18.2
RB Dameon Pierce Texans vs. Broncos $5,100 10.1
WR Courtland Sutton Broncos at Texans $5,400 15.7
DST Indianapolis Colts at Titans $3,200 17.0

It wasn't our best week, but we still landed a top performer in three different positions on the cheap. Anyone who rostered Purdy, Sutton, or Indianapolis probably made some money last weekend, even if they drafted players at other spots who underperformed (like basically our entire RB section — woof!). Overall, we averaged 18.7 DK points per hit on players with average salaries of just over $5,280. Not too shabby!

Let's get back to business! This year, we're also incorporating SuperDraft into our weekly DFS column. For those unfamiliar, SuperDraft's DFS scoring involves point multipliers as opposed to traditional salary-capped or tiered contests. A winning lineup will likely feature a strong mix of stud fantasy contributors with 1x-1.6x boosts, as well as matchup-based sleepers with larger multipliers. Each player is assigned a scoring multiplier based on their value as determined by SuperDraft. So, the sleepers who carry lower salaries in DK/FD have higher boosts on SD. The best part: SuperDraft users can roster any player with no restrictions.

MORE SUPERDRAFT DFS: How to play SuperDraft

Let's get to our picks. Below we will reveal our Week 14 DFS sleepers and values at each position. Good luck, have fun, and enjoy what will undoubtedly be another wild week!

All player values are from DraftKings, FanDuel, and SuperDraft. All stats are from NFL.com and Pro Football Reference.

NFL DFS Picks Week 14: QB sleepers, values for DraftKings, FanDuel, SuperDraft

Russell Wilson, Broncos at Chargers (DK: $5,800 | FD: $7,400 | SD: 1.35x)

Well, here we are — we've come full circle and gone back to the Russ Wilson well. The man who used to grace our sleepers and values list with regularity has once again become fantasy relevant, averaging over 18 DK points per game while maintaining a high floor and ceiling in plus matchups. Newsflash: the Chargers make for a plus matchup — they have surrendered the fifth-most DK points to the QB position this season and their only win over the past month was a 6-0 battle of yuck and poo over the abysmal Patriots. Let's get DangeRuss!

Gardner Minshew, Colts at Bengals (DK: $5,400 | FD: $6,900 | SD: 1.35x)

Minshew has enjoyed a truly special run since taking over for injured rookie Anthony Richardson, and his 312-yard, two-TD overtime win over the Titans ranks up there on his list of career highlights. The Bengals D has endured a tough stretch since Joe Burrow hit IR and drastically reduced Cincy's average time of possession. Five of the past six starting QBs to face Lou Anarumo's unit have scored 20-plus standard fantasy points, and three of the past four have scored 26.7 or more. Send in the Gardner!

Other solid Week 14 values: Joshua Dobbs, Vikings at Raiders (DK: $5,900 | FD: $7,300 | SD: 1.3x); Baker Mayfield, Buccaneers at Falcons (DK: $5,300 | FD: $6,800 | SD: 1.4x)

WEEK 14 STANDARD RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

NFL DFS Picks Week 14: RB sleepers, values for DraftKings, FanDuel, SuperDraft

Joe Mixon, Bengals vs. Colts (DK: $6,100 | FD: $7,200 | SD: 1.3x)

Mixon has quietly been very efficient over the past couple of months, averaging 18.1 DK points per game in the six contests since Week 8. He just put 29.7 points on the Jaguars on Monday Night Football, turning back the hands of time with 117 yards and two TDs. He should be able to keep the good times rolling against the Colts, who have allowed the fourth-most DK points to running backs this season. Cincy should continue to operate a run-first offense with Jake Browning under center, especially with DeForest Buckner and company barreling toward the pocket all game.

Dameon Pierce, Texans at Jets (DK: $5,000 | FD: $6,100 | SD: 1.45x)

Devin Singletary's 15 minutes of 2023 fame seems to be up, as the veteran back had just eight rushes for 36 yards last week against Denver compared to Pierce's 15 for 41 and a score. The Jets have allowed the sixth-most PPR points to running backs this season, and three of the past four RB1s they have faced have scored 19-plus. Houston also just lost stud receiver Tank Dell (ankle), so it should be running plenty to avoid Sauce Gardner and D.J. Reed. Pierce seems like a safe high-floor option this Sunday.

More solid Week 14 RB values: Javonte Williams, Broncos at Chargers (DK: $5,800 | FD: $6,600 | SD: 1.35x); Alexander Mattison, Vikings at Raiders (DK: $5,500 | FD: $6,200 | SD: 1.35x); Keaton Mitchell, Ravens vs. Rams (DK: $4,900 | FD: $5,900 | SD: 1.45x); Roschon Johnson, Bears vs. Lions (DK: $4,900 | FD: $5,700 | SD: 1.45x)

WEEK 14 PPR RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

NFL DFS Picks Week 14: WR sleepers, values for DraftKings, FanDuel, SuperDraft

Courtland Sutton, Broncos at Chargers (DK: $6,100 | FD: $7,200 | SD: 1.35x)

We're going for the Russ-Sutton stack wherever we can because everyone in fantasy seems to be completely overlooking these guys. When Russ cooks, it's usually Sutton who feasts. He's easily the veteran's No. 1 target when he needs to move the chains or get into the end zone. They have connected for 30 first downs, nine TDs, and a per-game average of over 53 yards per game. As we said before, the Chargers' defense is deplorable, and things have only gotten worse since they lost Joey Bosa (foot) to injury. We're projecting Sutton for 15-20 PPR points this weekend.

Jakobi Meyers, Raiders vs. Vikings (DK: $5,700 | FD: $6,900 | SD: 1.35x)

Every time the fantasy community unofficially declares Meyers dead, he rises from the proverbial ashes. He scored over 20 PPR points last week, bringing his season-long average to well over 14 DK points per game. Minnesota has improved as an offense on the whole, but the Vikings still rank among the 10 most generous defenses to wideouts in fantasy. This should be a shootout, so let's have some fun and roll with Jakobi.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seahawks at 49ers (DK: $4,100 | FD: $5,500 | SD: 1.55x)

Extreme value alert! JSN went off in Week 13, hauling in seven-of-11 targets for 62 yards against a stout Cowboys D. With DK Metcalf finally looking like himself lately — and Tyler Lockett looking like a shell of his formerly dominant self — Geno Smith keeps looking the rookie's way in big spots. Seattle will have to throw early and often to stay with the high-flying 49ers, so don't be surprised if Smith-Njigba posts 12-plus PPR points for the fifth time since Week 7.

More solid Week 14 WR values: Jordan Addison, Vikings at Raiders (DK: $5,500 | FD: $6,500 | SD: 1.4x); Rashee Rice, Chiefs vs. Bills (DK: $5,400; FD: $6,300 | SD: 1.4x); Elijah Moore, Browns vs. Jaguars (DK: $4,500 | FD: $6,200 | SD: 1.5x); Alec Pierce, Colts at Bengals (DK: $3,700 | FD: $5,500 | SD: 1.6x)

NFL DFS Picks Week 14: TE sleepers, values for DraftKings, FanDuel, SuperDraft

Isaiah Likely, Ravens vs. Rams (DK: $3,500 | FD: $5,200 | SD: 1.6x)

When recently asked if the Ravens were considering picking up newly available veteran Zach Ertz after he cleared waivers, Harbaugh told reporters that Baltimore was happy with the tight ends it has. That's more than likely a vote of confidence for Likely, who continues to fill in seamlessly whenever his number gets called. Likely ranked first in yards (40) and second in targets (six) in the Ravens' last game, and coming off a bye week, he draws a Rams team that's allowed the third-most fantasy points to the tight end position.

More solid Week 14 TE values: Cade Otton, Buccaneers at Falcons (DK: $3,100 | FD: $4,900 | SD: 1.7x); Brevin Jordan, Texans at Jets (DK: $3,100 | FD: $5,000 | SD: 1.7x);

NFL DFS Picks Week 14: D/ST sleepers, values for DraftKings, FanDuel

Cleveland Browns vs. Jaguars (DK: $3,000 | FD: $3,800)

These prices seem way too low considering how good Myles Garrett and the Browns' defense has been all season. Cleveland regularly makes QBs look bad, so if Trevor Lawrence's high-ankle sprain forces C.J. Beathard into action in a cold-weather game at the Dawg Pound, it could be a D/ST bonanza. The Browns have surrendered an NFL-low 175.7 total yards per game at home this season, and we're getting them at $3,000 against a banged-up TLaw and Christian Kirk (core) on the sidelines?
