While not boasting as many shootout possibilities as college fantasy football owners and DFS players would like, Week 9 still has its fair share of big games. Michigan vs. Notre Dame, LSU vs. Auburn, and Ohio State vs. Wisconsin are just a few of the matchups where we will look for the hidden gem, sleepers, and values to fill out DraftKings lineups.

Week 9 College Fantasy Football DFS Picks: QBs
Best Start: Joe Burrow, LSU vs. Auburn ($8,700). Burrow has been spectacular this entire season, averaging more than 350 passing yards per game and scoring 31 total TDs. While Auburn should prove to be one of the tougher defenses the Tigers face this season, that is no reason to doubt Burrow. He is currently matchup proof and can be started with confidence.
Best Value: Brock Purdy, Iowa State vs. Oklahoma State ($7,700). Purdy has been an excellent fantasy option this season, averaging 28.9 points per game. Oklahoma State is currently giving up 30 points per contest and is ranked 102nd in pass defense. Iowa State should not have any trouble putting up points this weekend.
Best Sleeper: Jayden Daniels, Arizona State at UCLA ($6,100). So far this season, Daniels has excelled against lower-end defenses (Kent State, Sacramento State, Colorado, Washington State), but struggled vs stronger defenses (Michigan St, California, Utah). UCLA definitely falls into the first group with a pass defense currently ranked 128th in the country. Daniels should put up some good numbers this week.

Week 9 College Fantasy Football DFS Picks: RBs
Best Start: Kenneth Gainwell, Memphis at Tulsa ($8,200). Since taking over for the injured Patrick Taylor, in Week 1, Gainwell has been a monster. Averaging well over 100 yards per game and scoring 11 TDs. Taylor is close to returning, but Gainwell should be in for at least one more big game before possibly splitting time. Tulsa is giving up over 195 yards per game on the ground, so Gainwell should be able to run wild
Best Value: Breece Hall, Iowa State vs Oklahoma State ($6,500). Hall got the starting nod two weeks ago and has rewarded the coach’s confidence by racking up 315 rushing yards and five TDs. Iowa State’s offense should continue to thrive this week as they host an Oklahoma State team with a very porous defense.
Best Sleeper: Kennedy Brooks, Oklahoma at Kansas State ($5,400). Oklahoma has been hard to figure out this season at RB. Brooks and Trey Sermon have each had solid games while sharing the backfield with QB Jalen Hurts. Right now, Brooks appears to be the top dog at RB, turning 20 attempts into 175 yards and a TD over the past two games. This week the Sooners get to beat up on a Wildcat defense giving up 195 yards per game on the ground, and Brooks should be one of the primary beneficiaries.
Week 9 College Fantasy Football DFS Picks: WRs
Best start: Gabriel Davis, UCF at Temple ($7,700). Davis had a decent start to the season, averaging 17 points over the Knights’ first three games. But over the past four he has been unstoppable, scoring at least 33 points in every contest. And Temple’s mediocre pass defense, 81st in the country, should not give him too much trouble this week..
Best Value: Tyler Johnson, Minnesota vs. Maryland ($6,300). This season Johnson has established himself as an elite fantasy WR, scoring at least 11 fantasy points every game except the season opener. He should continue to shine this week against a Maryland team ranked 118th in the country against the pass.
Best Sleeper: Jalen Reagor, TCU vs. Texas ($5,500). Reagor is a very talented WR stuck on a team with questionable QB play for most of the season. However, he has started to come alive recently with 12 catches for 154 yards and two TDs over the last two games. This week the Horned Frogs are hosting the Longhorns, who are giving up 310 passing yards and over 30 points per game. This could be the breakout game we have been waiting on.
