College Fantasy Football: Expert DFS picks, sleepers for Week 6 DraftKings contests image

College football schedulers clearly did not have fantasy football owners in mind when they set up Week 6. Alabama, Clemson, Hawaii, Wake Forest, among others, are all on byes. This will limit the number of stud players available in colelge DFS contests, but should it open up opportunities for lots of lesser known stars. Hopefully this week we can point out a few of them for those in DraftKings contests. Good luck with your lineups this week!

Week 6 College Fantasy Football DFS Picks: QBs

Best Start: Joe Burrow, LSU vs. Utah State ($8,700). Four games into the season and Burrow has vaulted himself into Heisman contention. He's averaging 380 passing yards per game and thrown for 17 TDs. He's in for another big game this week against Utah State's pass defense currently ranked 103rd in the country.

Best Value: Spencer Sanders, Oklahoma State at Texas Tech ($7,600). Sanders is coming off a quiet Week 5 where he scored just 13 fantasy points against Kansas State. Most of that due to the Cowboys leaning heavily on the running game. This week, Oklahoma State goes on the road to take on the Red Raiders in a game that should produce plenty of points (63 O/U). Expect a nice bounce-back performance.

Sleeper: Tanner Morgan, Minnesota vs. Illinois ($6,500). Morgan opened the season with a 176-yard, one-TD game against San Diego State and has improved every week. He has put up 234 yards and 289 yards against Fresno State and Georgia Southern, respectively, scoring three TDs in each game, then really exploded with a 396-yard, four-TD performance against Purdue. Illinois boasts the 102nd-ranked pass defense and will not be able to slow Morgan down this week.

Week 6 College Fantasy Football DFS Picks: RBs

Best Start: A.J. Dillon, Boston College at Louisville ($7,900). Dillon is worth starting almost every  week. He is currently riding a three-game stretch of rushing for at least 150 yards. He will have a good chance to extend that streak this week as the Eagles take on a Cardinal team giving up almost 130 yards per game on the ground.

Best Value: Joshua Kelley, UCLA vs. Oregon State ($6,400). Kelley had his best game of the season in Week 5, rushing for 127 yards and a TD against Arizona. He should be salivating this week as UCLA hosts an Oregon State team ranked 102nd against the run (180 yards per game). That, combined with a projected 65-point over/under, will give him plenty of opportunities to rack up points.

Sleeper: Journey Brown, Penn State vs. Purdue ($5,400). Penn State has opened the season spreading around their rushing attempts, with three RBs running the ball at least 20 times. However, Brown has been able to do great things with his limited touches, scoring four TDs and going over 100 yards once. He has another great opportunity this week as the Nittany Lions host a Purdue team currently giving up 154 yards per game.

Week 6 College Fantasy Football DFS Picks: WRs

Best Start: Isaiah Hodgins, Oregon State at UCLA ($7,600). Hodgins is coming off a huge Week 5 where caught 10 passes for 162 yards and scored his sixth TD. He should have another huge game this week against a UCLA pass defense ranked 129th out of 130 teams.

Best Value: Reggie Roberson, SMU vs. Tulsa ($6,300). Roberson has been great this season, scoring a TD or going over 100 receiving yards in all but one game. This week's matchup with Tulsa has a 62-point over/under and should provide Roberson with the opportunity for another huge stat line.

Sleeper: Sam Crawford, Tulsa at SMU ($5,100). After being limited mainly to special teams his freshman season, Crawford has been an excellent contributor for the Golden Hurricanes this year. He has scored at least 15 fantasy points in three of four games and is currently leading the team in receptions, yards, and TDs (tied). With SMU favored to win in a possible shootout, underdog Tulsa will need a big game from Crawford if they hope to pull off an upset.
