Best NFL DFS Stacks Week 5: Lineup picks for DraftKings, FanDuel daily fantasy football contests image

What's better than getting big passing, rushing, or receiving performances in your Week 5 daily fantasy football lineups on DraftKings or FanDuel? Trying to double or triple up your scoring potential with smart DFS stacks of multiple players or entities from the same team.

We're starting to get more clarity on what constitutes a favorable -- or unfavorable -- matchup in addition to which players are poised to see steady workloads. These aren't always stars, as you'll see below, but finding lower-owned, productive gems is another key to winning in DFS, especially now that the bye weeks are here and there are fewer options in the player pool.

Week 5 presents another great opportunity to attack the stacks, as the prices on DK and FD are still manageable with several star players. With that in mind, here's looking at the best correlated DFS combinations to consider when trying to maximize points and take down some big tournaments during Sunday's main slate:

WEEK 5 DFS:
DK lineup | FD lineup | Best values

Week 5 DraftKings, FanDuel Picks: Best stacks for daily fantasy football tournaments

Best QB-WR stack

Cardinals: Joshua Dobbs ($5,200 DK, $6,600 FD) and Marquise "Hollywood" Brown ($5,000 DK, $6,400 FD)

Dobbs has been more than decent and may continue to be the strong bridge QB while Kyler Murray seems far away from returning from his knee injury. That should be just fine with Brown, who's been hot and consistent the past few weeks, just missing a big-play-fueled day. That big play will hit this week at home against the Bengals in a fair-enough matchup.

WEEK 5 PPR RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

Best QB-TE stack

Eagles: Jalen Hurts ($8,000 DK, $8,000 FD) and Dallas Goedert ($4,200 DK, $5,500 FD)

The Rams have been pretty stingy against the pass, but they did struggle with the latest Shane Steichen dual-threat QB, Anthony Richardson, last week. Richardson also connected well with his tight ends in that matchup (six catches, 107 yards, two TDs). Now that DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown have gone off, Goedert is the squeaky wheel. Look for him to get greased in L.A. vs. shaky linebackers and safeties.

WEEK 5 STANDARD RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

Best RB-Defense Stack

Jets: Breece Hall ($5,400 DK, $6,500 FD) and D/ST ($3,100 DK, $4,200 FD)

Hall had a 43-yard burst as part of his (only) six carries for 56 yards against the Chiefs. He's a speedy, explosive back in the De'Von Achane and Khalil Herbert vein for this juicy Broncos matchup. Look for him to take a long one to the house and the Jets' D to also rip into a one-dimensional offense around Russell Wilson.

WEEK 5 FANTASY ADVICE:
Sleepers | Busts | Projections | Start 'em, sit 'em

Best "Onslaught" Stack

Texans: C.J. Stroud ($6,000 DK, $7,200 FD), Tank Dell ($4,800 DK, $6,000 FD), and Dalton Schultz ($3,400 DK, $4,900 FD)

Stroud has been on point since Week 1, and the big numbers have followed over the past three weeks. The Falcons are a decent defense, but they are better against the run. In coverage, their best work is on the perimeter. They also don't have much of a pass-rusher. Dell sat by while it was a Nico Collins game last week. It's the rookie-to-rookie week here, with Collins likely seeing A.J. Terrell outside. Schultz also came to life last week vs. the Steelers with a TD, and the Falcons have been very giving to his position.

Week 5 NFL DFS Picks: Top cash game stacks for DraftKings, FanDuel

Best QB-WR stack

Dolphins: Tua Tagovailoa ($7,100 DK, $8,000 FD) and Tyreek Hill ($9,000 DK, $9,400 FD)

The Giants cannot handle perimeter No. 1s with big speed and burst. Hill is due for another blowup game at home after some quieting down. Tua also comes back to his comfort zone to put up another safe, massive game.

Best RB-Defense stack

Saints: Alvin Kamara ($6,300 DK, $7,100 FD) and D/ST ($3,000 DK, $4,000 FD)

Kamara went nuts catching passes last week and should be more effective overall, including his rushing in this decent spot on the road in New England. The Saints' D also can cause the right kind of problems for Mac Jones. You're also not paying too much to get a solid correlation.
