Best NFL DFS Stacks Week 14: Lineup picks for DraftKings, FanDuel tournaments, daily fantasy football cash games image

Stacking in DFS contests has never looked more appealing than it does in Week 14. There are several high-end players taking on lower-end teams, and the strengths of these players just so happen to line up with the weaknesses of the teams they are facing. That means daily fantasy football players will have some easy choices in DraftKings and FanDuel lineups. It also means that they have to find some key lineup differentiation.

By stacking certain games or matchups, you cannot only set yourself up for double points or correlated points, but you can also get those key differences. Some players like to spread the wealth and target several games, but if you target the potential highest-scoring games or go all-in on one matchup, that can give you a high ceiling. Granted, that sometimes comes with a low floor, but it's still worth it to explore your options in cash game and tournament lineups.

WEEK 14 DFS LINEUPS: DraftKings | FanDuel | Yahoo

As mentioned, this week has some appetizing matchups both for individual players and teams. That said, there are also some nice, lower-end stacking options that could pan out in tournament play this week, as not many DFS players will want to use certain players — or combinations of them — in their lineups.

DraftKings pricing continues to be more variable than that of FanDuel which makes it easier to create stacks. That said, stacking is still a viable strategy on FanDuel. It's just important to find worthwhile sleepers in the lower price range to balance your lineup.

Week 14 NFL DFS Picks: Top cash game stacks for DraftKings, FanDuel

QB Patrick Mahomes, WR Tyreek Hill, & TE Travis Kelce, Chiefs vs. Raiders (DK Stack)

Let's not make this one harder than it needs to be. Yes, all of these players are the most expensive at their respective DraftKings positions, but it's for good reason. The Raiders' defense has had its share of struggles this season, and they had a particularly tough time in their last matchup against the Chiefs.

Mahomes, Hill and Kelce all had massive performances on "Sunday Night Football" in Week 10 against the Raiders. To recap, they posted the following numbers:

  • Patrick Mahomes: 406 passing yards, five TDs
  • Tyreek Hill: Seven catches, 83 yards, two TDs
  • Travis Kelce: Eight catches, 119 yards

Those numbers were among the top-three DraftKings scoring performances each player has had this season, and Mahomes' outing was his best so far. Maybe the Chiefs don't exactly repeat their success, but they should at least have a good chance to grab some TDs against the NFL's seventh-worst scoring defense.

WEEK 14 PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

RB Javonte Williams & Broncos D/ST, Broncos vs. Lions (DK/FD Stack)

You could probably justify playing any Broncos players in this contest. The Lions are coming off their first win, and while they will likely play hard, they still are short on talent pretty much everywhere. The best way to attack them is by running the ball, as they've allowed the third-most fantasy points per game (FPPG) to RBs this season on both DraftKings and FanDuel. They are one of two teams to allow at least 18 total TDs to RBs and have allowed the second-most receiving TDs to the position at seven.

Last Sunday, Williams got his first chance to serve as the primary back for the Broncos with Melvin Gordon out due to shoulder and hip injuries. The results were strong, as Williams racked up 178 scrimmage yards and a touchdown on 29 touches (six catches). Gordon's status for this week's game remains uncertain, but even if he plays, Williams will be a strong option, as he will get enough carries and targets to do damage against Detroit.

The Broncos' defense seems like a good play here as well. After all, they limited the Chiefs to just 16 offensive points last week, as a Daniel Sorensen pick-six was responsible for six of the 22 Chiefs points. If Denver can do that against Kansas City, they can certainly slow down Jared Goff and the Lions.

RB Alvin Kamara & Saints D/ST, Saints at Jets (DK/FD Stack)

Remember how we said the Lions are one of two teams that has given up 18 or more TDs to RBs this year? Well, the Jets are the other. And they are much worse against the position than the Lions, allowing a whopping 22 total TDs to RBs this season. That includes 18 on the ground.

If Alvin Kamara (knee) is back and healthy, he will certainly be worth trusting in this matchup. The Jets have allowed the third-most rushing yards to RBs this year and the second-most receiving yards, and that fits Kamara's dual-threat game to a tee. Add in that he'll either be playing with Taysom Hill, who is dealing with mallet finger, or one of Trevor Siemian or Ian Book at quarterback, this seems like a great spot for him to rack up check-down catches and handle a nearly full workload.

If Kamara is out, Mark Ingram could have a similar impact, so you could roll with him instead. Both pair well with a Saints defense that should have no problem forcing Zach Wilson into some mistakes. Wilson led the Jets on three straight TD drives last week against the Eagles but still tossed a pick and was sacked twice. The Saints D/ST is much tougher than that of the Eagles, so Wilson could struggle.

UPDATE: With Mark Ingram on the reserve/COVID list, Tony Jones Jr. would likely handle most of the carries if both Kamara and Ingram are out.

Week 14 DraftKings, FanDuel Picks: Best stacks for daily fantasy football GPPs/tournaments

QB Baker Mayfield, WR Jarvis Landry, & WR Donovan Peoples-Jones, Browns vs. Ravens (DK/FD stack)

There's nothing sexy about trusting Baker Mayfield while he deals with a plethora of injuries, including a torn labrum in his non-throwing shoulder, but it may be sensible to do so in this matchup. It has everything to do with the Ravens' injuries.

Baltimore is dealing with a banged-up secondary that just lost its best cornerback, Marlon Humphrey (pectoral) for the season. John Harbaugh said the team was "pretty much out of corners" at the end of the game against the Steelers, so that's not the greatest sign.

Mayfield and the Browns have also had an extra week to heal because they were on bye in Week 13. They just played the Ravens in Week 12, so they have had plenty of time to self-scout and figure out ways to beat them. As such, Mayfield could be in for a good day, especially considering the now-porous nature of the Baltimore secondary.

Pairing Mayfield with his top pass-catching weapon, Jarvis Landry, seems like the way to go. Landry has averaged 7.6 targets per game in his past five outings, and while he's yet to find the end zone, he could in this matchup. Either way, he's a threat in full-point and half-point PPR formats because of his target volume.

Finally, Peoples-Jones can join the fray, as well. He tied for the second-most targets on the Browns in their last game against the Ravens and is averaging 18.9 yards per catch this season, so perhaps he can rip off a long one and pay off his value in one catch.

QB Ryan Tannehill, WR Julio Jones (if healthy), & Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Titans vs. Jaguars (DK/FD stack)

This seems like a good spot to continue targeting the Jaguars. They haven't played well for most of the season under Urban Meyer, and they were just shellacked by the Rams, 37-7. The Titans don't have the same type of passing attack as the Rams, but they do have some sleepers to target that could be key to adding lineup differentiation.

We're recommending that you go after the Jaguars' pass defense in this one. They rank middle-of-the-pack in the NFL in terms of yardage allowed, but they have been worse when Shaquil Griffin has been sidelined. He missed last week's game with a concussion, so if he continues to be out, the Titans will be able to throw easily in this one.

That's why Ryan Tannehill is worth trusting here. Sure, he hasn't recorded multiple passing TDs in his past four games, but he has run for five TDs this season and the Titans could use him more around the goal line with Derrick Henry out with a broken foot. QBs with rushing TD upside are always good to trust in DFS contests, especially when they're not too expensive.

As for Jones (hamstring) and Westbrook-Ikhine, they are the top two receiving weapons for the Titans. The Jaguars have allowed the fourth-most DraftKings points and eighth-most FanDuel points to WRs this season, so each should have a chance to do well. Neither will be highly owned either. Jones is still technically on IR, but he should be back this week. Still, his designation will scare some off. Meanwhile, Westbrook-Ikhine isn't a big name, but he led the Titans with six targets against the Patriots and found the end zone.

If Jones doesn't play, you can get really risky and play Westbrook-Ikhine with either Dez Fitzpatrick or Cody Hollister, but no matter what, this seems like a good spot for Tennessee.

QB Russell Wilson, RB Alex Collins, & Seahawks D/ST, Seahawks at Texans (DK stack)

The Seahawks will probably be a popular stack this week against the lowly Texans. Houston is going to start Davis Mills once again, as Tyrod Taylor suffered a wrist injury that will knock him out of action. That will make the Seahawks' defense a good play.

The Texans have averaged 12.2 points per game in Mills' previous six starts. They have scored 22 twice but other than that, they have been held to single digits or shut out. Will the Seahawks be able to stop the Texans? It won't be easy for their defense, which has its share of issues, but it is certainly doable. And let's not forget that the Seahawks nearly shut out the Jaguars earlier this season, so they could pull off a similar feat here.

Wilson and Collins also make the cut. We want a share of the Seahawks' passing game in case they throw a lot early to get on track. However, it's Wilson's legs around the goal line we're watching. The Texans have given up five rushing TDs to QBs this season, tied for the most in the NFL. That should give Wilson a nice scrambling floor, and using one of Seattle's RBs gives this contrarian stack some key differentiation.
