Devin Haney will look to make the fourth defense of his WBC lightweight championship against mandatory challenger Joseph "JoJo" Diaz at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Haney returns to action six months after winning a unanimous decision against Jorge Linares while Diaz makes his third appearance in 2021 following a decision victory over Javier Fortuna in July and a majority draw against Shavkat Rakhimov in February.

The fight will add some clarity to a lightweight division that was shaken up by George Kambosos Jr.'s stunning victory over Teofimo Lopez to claim the WBA, WBO, IBF and WBC Franchise titles. But with Haney also currently holding a version of the WBC championship, there remains a debate as to whether or not Kambosos Jr. is the true undisputed champion. It's highly likely that the winner of Haney-Diaz will face Kambosos to bring some finality to the debate.

Here's everything you need to know about Haney vs. Diaz Jr.
