Gushue's Team Wild Card 1 went undefeated against its eight opponents in Pool B while Koe's Team Alberta went 7-1, losing only to Matt Dunstone and Team Wild Card 2.
Brendan Bottcher's Team Canada was the other team to advance from Pool A joining Brad Jacobs' Team Northern Ontario from Pool B.
Friday morning saw Jason Gunnlaugson and Team Wild Card 3 defeat Mike McEwen and Team Manitoba in a tiebreaker to advance to the playoff. Joining Team Wild Card 3 in the playoff is Colton Flasch and Team Saskatchewan after they defeated Dunstone and Team Wild Card 2.
