The 2022 HearingLife Tour Challenge has come and gone, and there have been four champions crowned at the tournament. 

At the 2022 Pinty's Grand Slam of Curling, Team Homan and Team Edin won at the Tier I level while Team Grandy and Team Dropkin grabbed wins at Tier II. 

The Tour Challenge has been around since 2015, but this is the first time the event will take place since 2019. In 2020 and 2021, the tournament was canceled due to COVID-19. 

The winners of the event earned berths to the KIOTI Tractor Champions Cup, which will take place at the beginning of May 2023.

Here is everything you need to know about the 2022 HearingLife Tour Challenge. 

When is the 2022 HearingLife Tour Challenge?

This year's tournament began Tuesday, Oct. 18 and goes until Sunday, Oct. 23.

The round-robin runs from Oct. 18 to Oct. 21. On Oct. 22, the tiebreakers, quarterfinals and semifinals will take place before the finals occur on Oct. 23.

What channel is the HearingLife Tour Challenge on?

The 2022 HearingLife Tour Challenge is available to watch on Sportsnet. 

Coverage of the event begins on Thursday, Oct. 20 and will run for four days. You can watch live on Sportsnet, Sportsnet ONE or Sportsnet 360, and stream the action on SN NOW. 

Where is the 2022 HearingLife Tour Challenge taking place?

The tournament is being held at the Coca-Cola Centre in Grande Prairie, Alta. 

It is the first time this specific event will take place in Alberta. 

What is the purse for the 2022 HearingLife Tour Challenge?

The teams playing at the tournament are competing for a chance at taking some of the winnings home. There is a combined $350,000 prize purse for the event. 

There will be $250,000 going towards Tier 1 and $100,000 to Tier 2. 

2022 HearingLife Tour Challenge pool standings

There are 64 total teams playing in the competition. They are split up into the men's side and the women's side, and each of those will be divided into two tiers. 

Each tier will consist of 16 teams playing in a round robin where every squad plays four games. The top eight teams advance to the playoffs, where it is single elimination.
