Prince Albert was the home to Canadian curling, as the 2022 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship wrapped up in Alberta this past weekend.
The week-long event featured 14 of the best mixed curling teams from across the country, with every province represented at the bonspiel.
Quebec entered the tournament as the reigning back-to-back champion, and successfully completed a three-peat, defeating Northern Ontario in the gold medal game. This year's Quebec team was led by skip Felix Asselin.

2022 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship standings
The field of 14 is split up into two groups of seven. Each group will play a round-robin, with every team playing the others in the same collection.
After that, teams will be divided into either the championship pool or the placement pool. The top four teams from each group in the round-robin advance to the championship pool, while the bottom three remaining in each will move on to the placement round.
The placement round will consist of the six teams playing three games each. The results will be added to their record from the round-robin to determine the final seeding.
In the championship round, the eight squads play four more games, adding to their previous record to figure out the playoff seedings. The top four teams from the championship pool move on to play in the semifinals. The semifinals are single knockout, as the losers play in the bronze medal game and the winners go head-to-head for the gold.
