The competition at the 2023 Tim Hortons Brier is underway, as the crews compete to be named this year's Canadian men's curling champion.

Pool play started March 3 and wrapped up on Thursday. The playoffs are set to begin on Friday.

In Pool A, Matt Dunstone's team from Manitoba went undefeated in its eight games. Dunstone capped an 8-0 run at the Brier by handing Alberta's Kevin Koe his first loss at the competition on Wednesday night.

On the other side in Pool B, defending champion Brad Gushue and Team Canada finished on top at 7-1. They had the same record as Brendan Bottcher's Wild Card 1 team, but Gushue's squad topped Bottcher's to claim the head-to-head tiebreaker.
