The battle to be named the top men's curling crew in Canada for 2023 is over, and Brad Gushue is back on top.

Gushue's Team Canada defeated Matt Dunstone and Team Manitoba 7-5 in the final of the 2023 Brier, going back-to-back at the Canadian men's curling championship.

The longtime curler from Newfoundland became the first-ever skip to win five Briers with the victory. He has now won five out of the last seven Briers, collecting victories in 2017, 2018,  2020 and 2022 as well.

The annual competition determines the representative for Canada at the men's world curling championships. But that's not all, as a large cash prize is also going to the winner of the event.
