NCAA softball bracket 2024: Updated selections for regionals in Road to Women's College World Series image

For four straight seasons, Oklahoma was the No. 1 seed in the NCAA softball tournament. The Sooners proved why, too, winning the last three titles. But that all may change this year.

Sixty-four teams across the country are waiting to hear their name called for the 2024 NCAA softball tournament. Of those, only eight teams can fulfill their dreams and head to the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City.

It all begins with regionals on May 16. Four teams will go face off across 16 sites with double-elimination in play. Winners advance to Super Regionals, where they play a best-of-three series. Then, it's time for the final stage.

The Sooners are only miles away from USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium, but they'll need a push to get there. Rival Texas, who they defeated in the 2022 finals, is the favorite this year as the No. 1 seed.

It's going to be one of the toughest tournaments yet with big swings and big upsets bound to happen. First things first, though, teams needed to get into the tournament.

The Sporting News tracked live updates from the 2024 NCAA softball selection show. Scroll below to see the complete bracket.
