After protracted negotiations, Chelsea officially have a new manager with Maurizio Sarri confirmed as Antonio Conte's replacement.

Sarri arrives at the Blues after three strong seasons with Italian club Napoli and will now head to Australia as he looks to come to grips with the Chelsea squad.

A-League side Perth Glory await Sarri on July 23 with the 59-year-old keen to hit the ground running.

"I look forward to starting work and meeting the players on Monday ahead of travelling to Australia, where I will be able to get to know the squad and begin our match action," Sarri told the club's official website.

"I hope we can provide some entertaining football for our fans, and that we will be competing for trophies at the end of the season, which is what this club deserves."

Joining Sarri in Australia will be Chelsea's newest signing Jorginho, who was quick to link back up with his former Napoli coach.

"I am absolutely ecstatic to be here at Chelsea," Jorginho said.

"It is not easy to become part of such a big team so I am very, very happy. I am excited to play in such an intense league for a team that gives everything to play and win."

The 26-year-old midfielder reached new heights under Sarri and joins the Blues on a five-year contract after turning down Manchester City in controversial fashion.

Jorginho is set to meet his new teammates this week and is expected to make his debut for the club in Perth.
