An exciting set of second legs have seen the Champions League final four decided.

Liverpool, after grabbing a 3-0 advantage over Manchester City in the first leg at Anfield, remained undefeated in this year's competition by walking away with a 2-1 win at the Etihad. The Reds won the tie 5-1 on aggregate.

Barcelona inflicted a 4-1 defeat on Roma in the first leg at the Camp Nou, with Lionel Messi and co. putting one foot into the semi-finals. But Roma stormed back at the Stadio Olimpico, winning 3-0, and knocking the current La Liga leaders out on away goals.

Real Madrid looked an even bigger lock for the semi-finals than their league rivals after a 3-0 victory over Juventus in Turin. However, the Old Lady managed to pull the tie back to 3-3 after scoring three times at the Bernabeu, only to be felled by a stoppage time penalty call. Gianluigi Buffon was sent off for dissent and Cristiano Ronaldo buried the penalty to have the current holders narrowly slip by 4-3 on aggregate.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich took a 2-1 lead over Sevilla after the first leg in Seville and saw out a scoreless draw in Bavaria to advance.

While there is no restriction on facing teams from the same country, this season all four semi-finalists represent a different country.
