There is still no deal between Johnny Manziel and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
Earlier this month, the quarterback's agent imposed a Jan. 31 deadline to work out an agreement with the CFL club, and on Wednesday the Ticats said no deal was in place.
“While the discussions with Johnny Manziel and his representative have been very cordial and informative," a Ticats statement read, "there is nothing imminent and nothing to report. We will continue to do our due diligence and will have no further public comment on the matter as we move forward.”
Despite the lack of an agreement, Manziel took to Twitter on Wednesday to refute a TSN report that he and the Ticats were far from striking a deal
