Calgary's defence stole the show en route to a lowly 15-9 result in favour of the Stampeders. The Stamps' defence limited Roughriders quarterback Kevin Glenn to 12 passes for 127 yards before being replaced by Brandon Bridge due to a hand injury. Glenn didn't reach the end zone in three quarters of action. Calgary added an interception but the defence's shining moment came in the dying moment of the fourth quarter.

The Stamps were doing anything possible to preserve their six-point lead. For a moment, it appeared that everything was in favour of Saskatchewan. Bridge led the Riders to the team's first touchdown of the game and, with under two minutes left in regulation, Bridge had the Riders driving downfield again. On what turned out to be the Riders' final possession, Calgary's Ja'Gared Davis sacked Bridge causing the Riders quarterback to fumble the game away.

Jerome Messam ran for 127 yards and Bo Levi Mitchell added 222 yards in the air but the effort of Davis and the Stamps' defence allowed Calgary to seize its hold on the West Division. Calgary improves to 11-1-1 on the season and has won its last nine games.
