LaMarcus Aldridge is reportedly making his NBA return with the Brooklyn Nets.
After reports indicated he had been cleared to return to basketball activity after retiring in April, Aldridge is now set to sign a one-year deal with the Nets, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
After retiring with heart concerns five months ago, seven-time All-Star forward LaMarcus Aldridge is returning on a one-year, $2.6 million deal with the Brooklyn Nets, his agent Jeff Schwartz of @excelbasketball tells ESPN.

Last season, Aldridge appeared in five games with Brooklyn after receiving a contract buyout from the San Antonio Spurs.
The 36-year-old made his last NBA appearance on April 10, when he saw 22 minutes of action for the Nets. Five days later, he took to Twitter to announce his retirement after dealing with an irregular heartbeat in that game.
The Athletic's Shams Charania recently shared the report that Aldridge had passed all necessary tests to receive full medical clearance to return for his 17th NBA season.

Aldridge's signing continues a busy offseason for the Nets, who have added James Johnson, Paul Millsap and Patty Mills through free agency and traded DeAndre Jordan to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for Sekou Doumbouya and Jahlil Okafor.
After falling just one win shy of the 2021 Eastern Conference Finals, the Nets have made moves to increase their depth by adding seasoned veterans to a team with major title aspirations.
