World Boxing Super Series: Info, results, dates for upcoming fights image

The World Boxing Super Series offers fans a unique bracket format typically unseen in the sport. 

The WBSS is in its inaugural season with divisions in the super middleweight and cruiserweight classes. After starting in Sept. 2017, both weight classes were whittled down to quarterfinal matchups, with the the winner of each matchup advancing for a chance to win the Muhammad Ali Trophy.

Season 2, which will be shown on DAZN, begins in September and will feature the super middleweight and cruiserweight classes, plus an additional class. DAZN will show all 15 fight nights of Season 2 in the U.S., featuring 21 matches across the three tournaments. Check back for more information as that becomes available. 

As for Season 1, both divisions have just their championship fights remaining, but let's take a look at how each matchup was formed:

Season 1

Super middleweight

Quarterfinals:

Seedings for the second season were announced on July 20, which will feature a bantamweight and super-lightweight division.
