An epic rematch in the lightweight division will be taking place on October 15. Either Devin Haney will successfully defend the WBA (Super), WBC, IBF, WBO, and The Ring lightweight titles, or George Kambosos Jr. will avenge the only loss of his career.

The fight between Haney and Kambosos will once again take place in Australia, this time in Rod Laver Arena.

Haney won the interim WBC lightweight title in 2019 against Antonio Moran. Promoted as the champion, Haney defended the belt four times before facing Kambosos in June. The 23-year-old beat Kambosos via unanimous decision following a masterful performance.

Haney believes he has what it takes to go 2-0 against Kambosos.

“I can’t say what he can do differently because I have all the answers for anything he brings to the table,” Haney told iFL TV, via Boxing News 24. “We’ve been studying him like crazy. We know what he does. We know the mistakes that he makes and the habits that he has. We know the things that he does good as well. So we’re prepared for anything he brings."
