Daniel Jacobs is determined to record a conclusive victory over Saul "Canelo" Alvarez on May 4 and capitalize on a second chance to prove he is among the very best fighters on the planet.
The American middleweight will face Alvarez in a mouthwatering unification bout at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, with the WBA, WBC and IBF titles on the line.

For IBF champion Jacobs, who has shone at the highest level despite being told he would never box again when he was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer in 2011, the contest represents another opportunity to take on one of boxing's pound-for-pound kings, after he faced Gennady Golovkin in March 2017.
Golovkin, who has since recorded a split-decision draw and majority-decision loss to Alvarez, claimed a narrow points victory over Jacobs. However, the "Miracle Man" felt he should have had his hand raised and is confident he can get the better of the Mexican superstar Alvarez.
"I've always been vocal about feeling like I have won the biggest fight of my career with Golovkin," Jacobs told Omnisport. "Moving forward, I just really have to prove it now when there's no controversy.
"I know what I possess, it's really just about going out there and proving it to the world, because there's still a lot of doubt as far as who I am, what Daniel Jacobs shows up to actually fight and which one doesn't. It's all a game but I'm looking forward to putting all the pieces together, to figure it out on May 4.
"I know the building that night is going to be electrifying, and I know Canelo is going to have the majority of the Mexican population there supporting him. You either thrive in those moments, knowing what to expect, or you fold because the pressure is too much. But I have tons of experience.
"It's probably the biggest stage that I have [fought on], but this is definitely not my first rodeo being in a mega fight and I just look forward to capitalizing on it. This time around, you get a second chance, you want to leave it all on the line with no controversy and no doubt."

Alvarez made light work of a bigger opponent when he stepped up to super-middleweight to outclass Rocky Fielding in December.
Yet Jacobs, who will have a size advantage on May 4, added: "I think Canelo has never faced a complete package, such as someone with my skill set.
"Rocky put up a great effort, but there was a clear difference in skill set. I'm very well-educated when it comes to knowing what to do. Obviously there might be a little bit of adjusting or a fight to not let him get inside, but I know what not to do and what to do inside that ring.
"I just think that when Canelo faces me, he understands the skill but what he's not going to understand is just the size difference and the power that I'm going to be able to display."
