Claressa Shields joins fellow boxing superstars Canelo Alvarez and Katie Taylor when she competes in Detroit, Michigan on June 3. Little Caesars Arena hosts the bout between the undisputed middleweight champion Shields and Maricela Cornejo.

This fight is the first boxing card to take place at Little Caesars Arena and the event will air on DAZN.

A three-time undisputed champion, Shields has always found a way to honor Flint, Michigan. Thinking of the future of boxing and beyond, the "GWOAT" is partnering with Kronk Boxing Gym and the Emanuel Steward Champions Of Tomorrow to provide tickets to local programs that provide services for young kids in Detroit and Flint.

“There’s nothing more meaningful than helping the kids,” said Shields. “I want to give hope to the hopeless; help those less fortunate than me, and let them know I come from the exact same streets they come from. I want them to know that even though circumstances sometimes look like you can’t make it, keep striving, and you will. I’m a real example to them of how they too can realize their dreams. On June 3, when I fight and win, it will be for them, as well as for history."

Cornejo steps up to the plate as Hanna Gabriels, Shields' original opponent, failed a VADA drug test. "La Diva" has won three in a row and has six wins via knockout.

Outside of the main event, several young guns and local competitors will look to make an impact. Here is a look into the entire main card of Shields vs. Cornejo.

“My influences in boxing were my family,” Pagan told The Sporting News. “We’d always gather and watch fights growing up. I was always surrounded by boxing; my father used to be a boxer when I was younger. I always wanted to be like my dad, and that really motivated me to want to give it a go. The biggest piece of advice he gave me is to be consistent. There’s been a lot of ups and downs; I’ve lost a lot of fights in the amateurs and won some. No matter what, keep pushing forward.
