Brandon Figueroa is a force to be reckoned with.
"The Heartbreaker" made his first defense of the interim WBA world super bantamweight title a successful one in front of his hometown fans at the Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas in the main event of PBC on FS1 when he stopped Javier Chacon in the fourth round Saturday night.

It didn’t take long for the younger brother of former champion Omar Figueroa to impose his will with body shots that landed with a resounding thud on the body of the 38-year-old Chacon.
The relentless body assault continued into the second round as the 22-year-old refused to take his foot off the gas pedal. It appeared that Chacon expected Figueroa to empty his gas tank before letting his hands go.
Terrible idea.
Figueroa’s relentless attack never slowed as Chacon turtled up with his back against the ropes and was throttled with a savage assortment of punches.
For all of the work to the body, it was a right hook to the temple of Chacon that began to spell out his demise.
With his equilibrium in shambles, Figueroa put together a final salvo that was punctuated with a right uppercut that sent Chacon to the canvas. The referee counted Chacon out at the 2:00 mark to improve to 20-0 with his 15th knockout victory.
Figueroa landed 96 of 297 punches while Chacon only threw 69 punches and landed a middling 18 of them.
“He wasn’t throwing any punches, so I had to rough him up,” Figueroa said. “I had to get inside to fight his game because he didn’t want to fight mine and I caught him with a good right hook.”
Afterward, Stephen Fulton, who earned a stoppage of his own earlier in the night to improve to 17-0, entered the ring to challenge Figueroa to a future showdown.
“If his team wants to do it, I’m more than happy to do it.”
