The winner of this showdown will move one step closer to becoming the undisputed champion and will be in line to face WBA (Super) and IBF titleholder Murodjon Akhmadaliev in the future.

Figueroa is coming off a resounding seventh-round knockout of the previously unbeaten Luis Nery back in May. Fulton dominated Angelo Leo in January to pick up the WBO title and set up this much-anticipated clash. The two were originally set to meet on Sept. 18, but Figueroa tested positive for COVID. The fight was then rescheduled for November.
