Following an action-packed NFL Week 13 slate that saw favorites go an impressive 10-4 against the spread and 12-1-1 straight up, the public had to of walked away in the green, right?
Each Monday, we'll discuss the weekend that was with Phill Gray, head of trading for Sports Interaction, breaking down the most notable results and whether they went in favor of the house or the bettors.
Week 13 NFL Betting Action Report
Despite a profitable run from favorites in Week 13, the more heavily bet games of the weekend went the way of the house, resulting in a break-even day for Sports Interaction.
Bengals notch another "upset" over the Chiefs
Cincinnati's 27-24 home win over Kansas City was the most impactful Week 13 result for Sports Interaction, as liability built up on Kansas City spread and moneyline. Cincinnati opened up as three-point home favorites early in the week but closed as 2.5-point home underdogs. The total also took in a lot of action (53.5), as bettors expected a high-scoring contest between two explosive offenses.
In a back-and-forth affair, the Chiefs had a shot to either tie or take the lead late in the fourth quarter, but a clutch defensive stop by the Bengals put them in a favorable spot to notch their third-straight head-to-head win.
Kansas City had a glimmer of hope in the latter stages of the game, needing a third-and-long stop to give Patrick Mahomes a chance to lead to a game-winning drive, but Burrow's 12-yard connection to Tee Higgins put the game on ice.
According to Gray, "Kansas City was involved in the most bet parlays of the day. Their loss narrowly averted multiple big payouts."

No Jimmy G, no problem
One of the biggest wins in Week 13 for Sports Interaction came as a result of the 49ers' 33-17 victory over the Dolphins. Per Sports Interaction, the Dolphins' moneyline, which closed at +191, garnered the most singular bets in Week 13.
Even with Jimmy Garoppolo going down in the first quarter, the 49ers proved why they're one of the league's highest power-rated teams, finding a way to secure a two-score victory.
DeMeco Ryan's defense flew around all afternoon, forcing four turnovers and holding the Dolphins to just 10 points after their 75-yard touchdown strike on the first play from scrimmage.

While Garoppolo's loss is a crusher, there isn't a huge drop-off to Purdy from a power rating perspective, likely just two-to-three points, if that. Purdy was effective in Garoppolo's absence (25-of-37, 210 yards, two TDs) and with elite playmakers around him, as long as he makes the right reads and avoids mistakes, the 49ers can still do damage come playoff time.
Betting market flips Raiders from 'dogs to faves
One of the bigger line moves of the week came in the Raiders-Chargers AFC West tilt. After opening up as three-point home underdogs on the look-ahead line, the 4-7 Raiders closed as -2.5 home favorites over the 6-5 Chargers.
The Raiders avenged their Week 1 loss to the Chargers in a 27-20 win, resulting in another big win for Sports Interaction. Most bettors played the Chargers on the spread and the moneyline, thinking Justin Herbert could lead LA to a second-straight road victory.
Dallas' fourth quarter rout goes the way of the public
While most of the bigger decisions didn't go the way of the public, they ended the night with a winning ticket as the Cowboys (-11) broke through in the fourth quarter to notch a 54-19 win over the Colts.

Dallas 33-point fourth quarter easily cashed their spread and the total. According to Gray, "the offensive outburst resulted in big wins for the public on most of the player performances and TD scorers for the Cowboys. Tony Pollard (-125) and Ezekiel Elliot (-105) anytime touchdown scorers were the biggest payouts of the day."
