The time has come for R.J. Barrett to decide where he will continue his playing career at the collegiate level.
Barrett is the No. 1 ranked recruit in ESPN's Top 100 rankings and has the potential to be the next basketball star to come out of Canada since Andrew Wiggins. In August, Barrett listed the final five teams that were in his consideration. Since then, Barrett has minimized that list and now three options sit in front of the Canadian basketball phenom.

Who is R.J. Barrett?
Rowan "R.J." Barrett, Jr. is a 17-year-old basketball player from Mississauga, Ont. He currently attends Montverde Academy in Florida and has represented Canada internationally. At the 2017 FIBA U-19 World Cup, Barrett was the top scorer and MVP of the tournament, leading Canada to its first-ever gold medal.
In addition, Barrett earned MVP honours at the 2016 Jordan Brand Classic and at the Basketball Without Borders game at the 2017 NBA All-Star Weekend.
Barrett is a consensus top prospect for the upcoming class of NCAA freshman. His father, Rowan Barrett, Sr., is a former professional basketball player and longtime member of the Canadian national team.

Barrett will reveal his choice in NCAA schools after being heavily recruited by several top Division 1 programs. He is expected to choose between Duke, Kentucky, and Oregon.
