If you're a Blue Jays fan, you couldn't have asked for a better start from Danny Jansen.

The 23-year-old catcher hit his first career home run against the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday night. The solo home run to left field gave the Blue Jays a 4-3 lead in the fourth inning.

Tuesday night is just the second game of Jansen's career. Jansen hit two singles in his big-league debut on Monday. The Blue Jays lost to the Royals, 3-1.

Jansen is ranked as the third best prospect in the Blue Jays prospect system, behind Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette, according to MLB Pipeline. He's also ranked as the sixth best catching prospect and 73rd best prospect in all of baseball by MLB Pipeline.

The Blue Jays called up Jansen on Sunday as they placed Yangervis Solarte on the 10-day disabled list due to a right oblique injury.

This isn't the first time Jansen has captured the spotlight. He was not only named to the USA team in this year's MLB Futures Game, he also hit a two-run home run en route to a USA victory.

Whether or not Jansen will stay once Solarte comes off the disabled list is unclear, but what is clear is that he's made the most of his opportunity so far.
