For a second consecutive year, the MLB Players' Weekend jerseys are making a comeback.

Players' Weekend, normally held in the final weekend in August, originated last year. The unique concept allows current players to their nicknames — instead of their surnames — on the back of their uniforms. The idea received a few mixed reactions especially with New York Yankees fans, who weren't pleased with breaking an iconic tradition

The Toronto Blue Jays released their 2018 jerseys, along with the nicknames of 29 players, on Thursday.

While pitchers Ryan Borucki and Sam Gaviglio opted to keep their namesake, most of the Blue Jays displayed their creativeness. Marcus Stroman will wear "HDMH" on his jersey during the weekend. The acronym means "Height Doesn't Measure Heart," which is also the name of Stroman's clothing line.

Curtis Granderson sticks with the well-known "GrandyMan" moniker; while catcher Russell Martin will be known as "Le Muscle."
