Braves' Josh Donaldson trolls heckling Mets fan with two-homer game image

Josh Donaldson had a big day at the plate on Sunday against the New York Mets. He hit two solo home runs to help complete a three-game sweep over their NL  East rivals.

Donaldson apparently had a big day with a fan behind the on-deck circle as well.

RIVERA: Seven things I totally, definitely, absolutely did not expect to happen this MLB season

During the series finale at Citi Field, Donaldson and a young Mets fan engaged in some friendly trash talk while he waited on-deck circle in the top of the second inning. According to the Braves broadcast, the infielder asked the fan to touch his bat for good luck. Like a loyal Mets fan, she wouldn't touch it for good luck but she did agree to touch it for bad luck.

It turned out to be bad luck — for the Mets. Donaldson hit a home run, giving Atlanta a 1-0 lead.

Before returning to the dugout, the "Bringer of Rain" attempted to get a high-five from his new friend. She wasn't into it.

The three-time All-Star wasn't giving up on a friendship just yet. Between innings, he gifted the girl a bat that read "to my biggest fan."

Donaldson went on to hit another solo shot in the seventh inning. The Braves went on to beat the Mets, 2-1.

That fan may be good luck after all — just not for the right team.
