Players from Lebanon and Wales have engaged in a fiery brawl during their clash at the World Cup Nines on Saturday.

There was clearly plenty of feeling between the two nations, when with two minutes on the clock the match descended into a wild fist fight.

Things reached boiling point when Welshman Dan Fleming grappled Lebanon's Balil Maarbani in a tackle.

Marbaani quickly retaliated by collecting Fleming with a fairly forceful palm to the face, to which the Welshman delivered a heavy punch to the side of the head of his opponent.

Players from both sides then rushed in, with a number of small melee's erupting across the field.

It appeared the punch had left Marbaani, as he remained on the ground motionless, however Lebanon's number eight was soon on his feet.

Watch it below:

The fight resulted in a sin-binning for both sides, with Lebanon's Reece Robinson and Fleming sent for a spell on the sidleines.

Wales secured their first win of the tournament by shocking the far stronger Lebanon 25-14.

On the other hand, it was Lebanon's first loss of the tournament following thrilling wins over England and France.
