Here's a scary thought for the rest of the NFL: J.J. Watt can be even more disruptive.

That's what the NFL's reigning Defensive Player of the Year as much as said Monday, when the Texans reported for the first day of their offseason program. The reason for Watt's optimism? Vince Wilfork, who signed a two-year contract with the Texans this offseason.

Watt contacted him right away.

“Vince and I’ve been talking for quite a while,” Watt said, according to the Houston Chronicle. “We’re excited about what we can potentially do (together).”

Wilfork brings with him not only experience but Super Bowl rings — multiple Super Bowl rings.

“He’s, obviously, a very experienced guy who’s had a lot of success in this league,” Watt said. “He’s extremely good at what he does, and I’m real excited about it.

“Obviously, I’m looking forward to playing on the line with him because he’s very good at what he does, and he commands respect from every team.”

And that might free up Watt to wreak more havoc because as experienced and successful as Wilfork has been, he's never played alongside a player like Watt, who finished second in voting for the NFL Most Valuable Player award that went to Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

“It’s a good feeling to have,” Wilfork said about playing next to Watt. “I’m really looking forward to it.”

And there will be a ripple effect all along the line and up and down the depth chart, Watt said: "It’s going to be great for our young guys to have that veteran leadership."
