Jaxson DeVille, the Jaguars' official mascot, is staying busy during the offseason.

He was involved this week in a closest-to-the-pin contest at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., in advance of The Players Championship, and on the fabled No. 17 island hole, DeVille put his shot just a few feet from the cup.

The 117-yard 17th is one of the most iconic holes in golf, and one of the most difficult ones, too. Hitting the green is not easy to do for pros, let alone a person in a giant mascot suit.

According to PGA.com, the man inside the costume, Curtis Dvorak — who happens to be a scratch golfer — beat out the likes of former PGA pros Bob Duval and Len Mattice, along with former Jaguars lineman Tony Boselli, current players Josh Scobee and Blake Bortles, and coach Gus Bradley.

Dvorak, err, DeVille, won $10,000 for the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund.
