Though never a household name like fellow safeties Ed Reed and Troy Polamalu, Wilson earned five Pro Bowl nods, including one during the 2008 season that saw Arizona reach Super Bowl XLIII.

He hasn’t played since the 2012 season, however, as he spent 2013 on injured reserve with the Patriots before being cut by the Bears during training camp last year.

The North Carolina State product recorded 893 tackles and intercepted 27 passes from 2001-2012. NFL Media's Ian Rapoport reported that Wilson's next move could be to join the Cardinals' coaching staff.
