Eli Manning on trade rumours: It's hard to imagine being with another organisation image

Eli Manning does not want to leave the New York Giants.

The 37-year-old quarterback, who has spent his entire 15-year career with New York, has struggled throughout his team's 1-6 start and some have speculated the Giants could consider moving him before the October 30 trade deadline.

Manning discussed those rumours on Tuesday in an interview with New York radio station WFAN.

"I haven't thought about the trade scenario and hey, this organisation is the only team I've ever played for and only thing I know," Manning said.

"I love the Giants. It's hard to imagine being with another organisation."

Giants coach Pat Shurmur said the team were not planning to deal Manning.

"That would be news to me at this point," Shurmur said. "We're moving forward, we're trying to get everybody better, trying to do what we can to win this week."

Manning, a two-time Super Bowl champion and four-time Pro Bowl player, has completed 69 per cent of his passes and thrown seven touchdowns, along with four interceptions, in 2018. He holds a no-trade clause.
