Blood.
That was the only guarantee fight fans had ahead of Darren Elkins' bout opposite Nate Landwehr at UFC Florida this weekend.
Coming into the bout on a three-fight losing skid, Elkins was still a fan favourite due to his exciting style and willingness to battle through anything.
Meanwhile, Landwehr entered the weekend as an ambitious prospect looking to make his mark.
Their three-round scrap, which ended with Eklins leaking blood out of a couple of huge gashes on his head, left a lasting impression.
Elkins started well with some clinical striking in the first round before a head clash opened up a massive cut around his right eye.
Landwehr found his groove in the second frame, a nasty elbow opening another cut on Elkins' forehead.
Referee Herb Dean called a time out as medics checked out Elkins' face, which had blood pouring down it.
Proving why he's an all-time featherweight fan favourite, Elkins laughed through the absolute bloodbath, bit down on his mouthpiece and kept throwing them in the third.
In the end, Landwehr earned a unanimous decision win in a bout that left the Octagon stained with red.
"That's what I wanted to bring to America," Landwehr said afterwards.
"Blood, sweat and a good ass fight.
"I was just having a good time. That was the funest fight I've ever had. Elkins has been top 10, that just shows I'm good."
Fans on social media went nuts for the insane action.
