Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier will settle their rivalry once and for all on June 10 (June 11 in Australia) at UFC 264.

The trilogy bout will come four-and-a-half months after Poirier's spectacular second round knockout win over McGregor at UFC 257 in Abu Dhabi.

The Irishman won their first encounter at featherweight via first round knockout at UFC 178 in 2014.

Poirier and the UFC confirmed the highly anticipated fight on social media this week.

McGregor hasn't posted anything to any of his social media channels yet, instead updating his profile pic on Twitter.

Although he hadn't released anything at the time of writing, the former two-weight world champion told Ariel Helwani: "I signed my bout agreement this morning. I’m going to rip this game a new asshole July 10th. The Mac is back in Sin City! Full house!”

The fight card will be held in front of a full capacity T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The venue hasn't hosted a UFC event since Israel Adesanya's UFC 248 win over Yoel Romero before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Official UFC social media channels have also confirmed the fight, with tickets going on sale soon.

Tension between McGregor and Poirier escalated this week after the American revealed McGregor hadn't fulfilled his promise of making a (US) $500,000 donation to his charity after their second meeting in January.

In the relatively light-hearted build-up to that fight, McGregor said he'd donate money to help build a gym for disadvantaged kids in Poirier's hometown in Louisiana.

When McGregor predicted he would win their rumoured third bout via knockout, Poirier hit back on Twitter.

McGregor replied, saying he didn't know exactly where the money was going.

Their back and forth heated up until McGregor threatened the fight was off altogether.
