UEFA Europa League scores, results for Friday morning
A stoppage time equaliser from Harry Maguire has salvaged a point for Manchester United in their 3-3 draw with Porto this morning.
It initially looked like the Red Devils put a poor loss in the Premier League over the weekend behind them when they went 2-0 up inside 20 minutes thanks to goals from Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund, but Porto responded with a quickfire double of their own to level the scores at the break.
The home side then took the lead through wonderkid sensation Samuel Omorodion in the 50th minute, with the Spanish striker bagging a double, to turn the match on its head and to increase the pressure on Erik ten Hag.
There was then a sense of deja vu as Bruno Fernandez received his marching orders for the second time in a row, this time through two yellow cards, and it looked as if United were on the brink of another catastrophic defeat.
But it was Maguire who found himself unmarked from a corner to power a header home to save a point for United, and potentially ten Hag's job for the time being.
In other games, Ange Postecoglou celebrated his 50th game in charge of Tottenham with a 2-1 win away to Ferencvaros, Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce were held by FC Twente, and Roma suffered a surprise 1-0 defeat to Swedish side Elfsborg thanks to a second half penalty.
