Adel was set to join the Minnesota Timberwolves for training camp but was apparently pulled away by a more intriguing offer from the Raptors. The deal is an Exhibit 10 deal according to Blake Murphy of Raptors Republic .
The Raptors already have 14 players with guaranteed deals and are already deep into the luxury tax, leaving Adel most likely competing for a roster spot on their G-League affiliate Raptors 905.
The 22-year-old spent Summer League with the Houston Rockets, trying to earn his way onto an NBA roster after three solid seasons at Louisville.
“I’ve got that resiliency to be patient," Adel told NBA Australia in July. "Continue to grind and continue to work on my game and my opportunities are there.
"You know obviously, I’m here right now, so the opportunities always going to be there [to take].”
