The best tennis players in the world will descend on SW19 for the 2023 edition of Wimbledon at the start of July.

With the championship scheduled to kick off on July 3, the top men's and women's seeds will battle it out on the famous grass courts to determine the winner of the third grand slam of the season.

Novak Djokovic and Iga Świątek enter as both world number one and favourites to win on either side of the tournament after both enjoyed success at Roland-Garros in Paris by winning the 2023 French Open less than a month ago.

But how much are the lucky winners set to earn at Wimbledon in 2023 in terms of prize money? The Sporting News looks at the total purse for the tournament and how it's broken down across the different rounds.

Areas where prize money has been significantly upped include the qualifying stage where overall the winnings are up nearly 15%. First round loses will also now earn £55,000, a 10% increase on last year's earnings at the same stage.

After the announcement regarding prize money at Wimbledon in 2023 was made, Chairman of the All England Club, Ian Hewitt, stated; "We are delighted to offer record prize money to the players competing at The Championships this year, with double digit increases across the majority of events. Our ambition with this distribution is to return the singles champions and runners-up prize money to the levels in 2019 prior to the pandemic whilst, alongside, providing deserved support for players in the early rounds of the event."
