Nick Kyrgios won't be attending this year's US Open, as he continues to recover from a wrist injury.
The Australian is one of the most watchable tennis players in the world, known for his excellent serve and shot-making ability.
Kyrgios came into last year's New York tournament as one of the favourites, having just come off an eventful Wimbledon final.
It has never been straightforward for the 28-year-old at the US Open, however, with the livewire player exploding into controversy in last year's exit.
It's hard to know what to expect from the Australian, who has previously struggled at the year's final Grand Slam.
What is Nick Kyrgios' record at the US Open?
Kyrgios is coming off a career-best Quarter Final appearance at the US Open in 2022, which came after an action-packed run to the Wimbledon final a month earlier.
It was two wins better than the right-hander's previous best result, a Third Round exit, which he has achieved four times in his US Open career (2014, 2016, 2018, & 2019).
Kyrgios has a 15-9 win-loss record at the major.

Nick Kyrgios US Open 2022 results
Kyrgios' Quarter Final exit came in a five-set 5-7 6-4 5-7 7-6(3) 4-6 defeat to 27th seed Karen Khachanov.
It was a disappointing loss for Kyrgios, who had entered the major as one of the title favourites.
The Australian had a relatively smooth run through the first three rounds, beating Thanasi Kokkinakis, Benjamin Bonzi, and J.J. Wolf.
A round of 16 matchup with 1st seed Daniil Medvedev awaited, and Kyrgios delivered. The Canberran managed a shock 7-6(11) 3-6 6-3 6-2 victory over the Grand Slam winner, before bowing out in the next round.
Nick Kyrgios US Open controversial moments
Kyrgios is no stranger to controversy and has earned a reputation as one of sport's most hot-headed athletes.
The pressures of a Grand Slam like the US Open can make even the most stoic players lose their cool, so it's no surprise the Australian has been embroiled in a few heated moments.
In 2022, Kyrgios earned $32,500 (USD) in fines, after being penalised on five different occasions.

Nick Kyrgios accuses crowd member of smoking marijuana
In the second round of the 2022 US Open, Kyrgios was heard telling chair umpire Jaume Campistol that he could smell marijuana coming from the crowd.
At first, the chair umpire denied the Wimbledon finalist's claims, causing an on-court argument between official and player.
Kyrgios, an asthmatic, claimed that the smoke had the potential to impact his play. The Canberran was also fined $7500 during the match for directing profanity at his player's box.

Nick Kyrgios calls ATP "corrupt" at US Open 2019
Prior to the 2019 US Open, Kyrgios unleashed a tirade at the Cincinnati Masters, in he which smashed two racquets and called chair umpire Fergus Murphy a "tool".
Strangely, the outburst had been against Russian Khachanov, who the Australian would later lose to before a similar reaction in 2022.
When asked whether he was affected by the $113,000 fine he'd received as a result of the incident, Kyrgios delivered a controversial response.
"Not at all. The ATP is pretty corrupt anyway, so I'm not fussed about it at all," he said.
The tennis star had later said "It was not the correct choice of words," and that he'd instead meant to highlight the governing body's "double standards".
