Nick Kyrgios will get a shot at his maiden Grand Slam singles title when he faces either Novak Djokovic or Cameron Norrie in the Wimbledon final this weekend.
Having defeated Cristian Garin in straight sets in the quarters, the Aussie was due to meet 22-time major winner Rafael Nadal in the semi final until the Spaniard withdrew due to injury.
Nadal picked up an abdominal injury in his five-set quarter-final win over Taylor Fritz but had hoped to push on and continue his quest for a third title at the All England Club.
The 36-year-old called a press conference on Thursday to announce he would be withdrawing, having held a 40-minute training session as a fitness test.

Nadal's decision means Kyrgios gets a walk-over through the final, giving the 27-year-old Canberran a huge boost in his first deep run into a Grand Slam.
This is the first time since the 2015 Australian Open that Kyrgios has made it further than the quarter-final stage of a major.
Kyrgios, alongside Thanasi Kokkinakis, took out the doubles at the Australian Open this year but, competing as an individual, Kyrgios is in uncharted territory.
He'll also be looking to become the first Australian male singles player since Lleyton Hewitt at Wimbledon in 2002 to win a Grand Slam singles title.
Kyrgios, who has had several heated clashes with Nadal in the past, posted a message for the Spanish legend following the press conference.

"different players, different personalities. @rafaelnadal I hope your recovery goes well and we all hope to see you healthy soon 🗣🙏🏽 till next time…." he wrote on Instagram.
Djokovic, 35, is set to face the 26-year-old Norrie on Friday night for a place in the final.
The 20-time Grand Slam winner will go in as a strong favourite against the South African-born Brit who himself is past the third round of a major for the first time.
