Nick Kyrgios will trade his tennis racket for a basketball when he lines up alongside some other famous faces for a celebrity match in Sydney on April 24.
The game, which will raise money for the Starlight Children’s Foundation, will take place before Sydney Kings take on Illawarra Hawks in the NBL.
Kyrgios is on Team Fordham for the match meaning he'll be captained by 2GB radio host Ben Fordham with boxer Anthony Mundine and former NRL player Jamie Soward among his other teammates.
They'll take on Team Perrottet led by New South Wales Premier Dominic Perrottet and boasting the likes of Jimmy Smith, Brad Rosen and Anthony Mundine Jr.
Kings legends Shane Heal and Steve Carfino will coach the two sides with the match expected to start at 1.50pm on Sunday.
Kyrgios, who has enjoyed a strong 2022 on the tennis court to date, is back in Australia after deciding not to play the French Open this year.
Speaking to NBA Australia last year, the 26-year-old revealed how important basketball is to him, describing it as a form of meditation.
"When I'm out playing basketball, I don't think of anything for that, you know, hour to two hours," Kyrgios said.
"It's just having fun, seeing the ball, just hearing the ball bouncing going through the net, it's my meditation, I feel like I've got no problems in the world. And then when I step off the court, I feel like you know, the real world catches up again.
"It's just like something that's always going to be a part of me. I don't want to stop playing it.
"I played till I was 14, competitively, and I still play whenever I can. Like literally, all around the world, I go to LA Fitness till like 2:00 a.m. and play and run with guys. So I always try and get a ball in my hand when I can."
