Nick Kyrgios has become the first man in Citi Open history to win both the singles and doubles titles in the same year.
The Australian ended his three-year wait for a singles title by beating Japan's Yoshihito Nishioka 6-4 6-3 in his first final on Sunday (local time).
Kyrgios was forced to play four singles matches across the past three days due to bad weather in Washington but showed no signs of fatigue in the final as he fired home 12 aces.
Less than an hour later, the 27-year-old returned to the court to play the men's doubles final alongside American Jack Sock.
Kyrgios arrived at the Citi Open after winning the Atlanta Open doubles title with Thanasi Kokkinakis and continued his impressive doubles form.
The Aussie and American duo beat the tournament's third-seeds first up and then managed to beat fourth-seeds Ivan Dodig and Austin Krajick in the final 7-5 6-4.

Kyrgios is now expected to head to Canada with the US Open looming at the end of the month.
The recent Wimbledon finalist is finding form at the perfect time ahead of the next Grand Slam tournament and should be viewed as a real contender based on the past week.
The 27-year-old dropped just one set across his six singles matches, while he and Sock also lost just one from their three outings.
Kyrgios is just the second player this year to win singles and doubles titles at the same tournament after Andrey Rublev also managed the feat in Marseille.
The Aussie has also now won 12 of his last 13 singles matches with that one loss coming against Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon final.
