Martina Navratilova has backed Madison Keys to build on her impressive display at the Australian Open and challenge for grand slam wins in 2015.
The 19-year-old produced her best performance at a major WTA event last month as she went all the way to the semi-final - including victories over three seeded players.
World number four Petra Kvitova was dispatched in straight sets to put the American in the fourth round for the very first time, and she continued to impress with victory over Venus Williams in the last eight.
Her run was ended by eventual champion - and world number one - Serena Williams in the semis, but Navratilova saw enough to be convinced Keys can emulate the progression of Eugenie Bouchard and Simona Halep in 2014.
"I have been a part-time coach for Agnieszka Radwanska and she practised with Madison before the tournament and Madison was hitting the ball so hard and so well," the 18-time grand slam winner told Perform.
"Petra Kvitova was out-hit and I never thought I would say that about anybody other than Maria Sharapova and Serena Williams.
"She has got a sling shot of an arm. She has very easy power, reminiscent of Lindsay Davenport who is her coach now, more top spin and a bigger serve, and perhaps slightly better movement already.
"She is working on it and she keeps getting faster. She has got a good court sense, a nice all-round game, doesn't mind coming to the net and is now harnessing that power.
"She has always had a big serve and a big forehand, but now the backhand has got better and she is getting to more balls, not over-hitting and making better shot selections.
"So, she is coming along really nicely and I think Lindsay is going to help her a lot and already has.
"She is not done yet. She wants more, she looks like she feels like she belongs here and it is not a surprise, it has been a steady progression going up."
Keys' exploits in Melbourne saw her climb to a career-high world ranking of 20.
