The two-time grand-slam champion was troubled by pain in his left shoulder during his Mubadala World Tennis Championship semi-final victory over Rafael Nadal last week.
That has not stopped Murray from competing in the Hopman Cup in Perth, where he beat France's Benoit Paire on Monday before combining with Heather Watson to get the better of Paire and Alize Cornet in the doubles.
Murray saw off Jerzy Janowicz in his latest singles match on Wednesday, but was defeated by Poland duo Janowicz and Agnieszka Radwanska playing alongside Watson later in the day.
The Scot is playing in Perth as part of his build-up to this month's Australian Open, which begins on January 19, but he said after Wednesday's action that he is still in some pain.
"It's still a little bit sore. I woke up and it had moved up a little bit towards my neck, but this heat helps warm everything up and loosen everything up a little bit and obviously I felt better as the match went on," said the Scot.
Murray also spoke of his admiration for Radwanska after coming up against the world number five in the doubles.
He added: "She's my favourite female tennis player to watch. I think she's a lot of fun to watch, she's very talented.
"She can play all of the shots and she's different to a lot of the female players who play now obviously, players like Serena [Williams] and [Maria] Sharapova are very big, strong, hit the ball very hard whereas Agnieszka is a lot smaller. She doesn't have as much strength but she finds ways to win matches by using all the angles on the court, by using touch shots and feel and I think that's good fun to watch.
"She's done fantastic with everything she's been given."
Murray will be back in action when Great Britain come up against hosts Australia on Friday.
