John Millman is out of the US Open after falling to American Frances Tiafoe in an engrossing five-set encounter.
Millman fought hard as he took a two sets to one lead but Tiafoe fought back to book his place in the third round of the US Open for the first time in his career, 7-6(6) 3-6 1-6 6-3 6-3.
Tiafoe took an early 5-2 lead in the first set but failed to capitalise on two opportunities to serve it out.
Millman broke back twice but Tiafoe would eventually take the first in a tiebreak.

Millman then produced two almost perfect sets of tennis as Tiafoe racked up the unforced errors and appeared to be on his way out of Flushing Meadows.
The 31-year-old Australian used his serve masterfully to push the American around the court.
But Millman's first serve started to depart him as the match went on, Tiafoe wrestling back the momentum and closing out the match.
After almost four hours, a final break of serve was enough for 22-year-old Tiafoe to book a meeting with Marton Fucsovics in the third round.
"The future is now for Frances Tiafoe!"

It was a bit of an undisciplined performance from the Australian who was on top of Tiafoe in most departments.
He hit 14 aces to Tiafoe's 12 and had 50 winners to the American's 44.
Tiafoe also produced a remarkable 73 unforced errors for the match but was able to hang on.
Only two Australians have booked their passage through to the third round of the US Open.
Jordan Thompson defeated Egor Gerasimov on day three to book his place in the third round for the first time in New York.
While 21st-seed Alex De Minaur defeated Richard Gasquet earlier on day four to setup a third-round matchup with the 11th-seed Karen Khachanov.
Fellow Australian Chris O'Connell, unfortunately, fell to third-seed Daniil Medvedev but put in a very respectable performance against last year's US Open runner-up.
For O'Connell, his first-round victory to get through to his encounter with Medvedev wasn't just his first Grand Slam victory, it was also his first victory on the ATP tour.
Medvedev eventually won in straight sets, 6-3 6-2 6-4.
26-year-old O'Connell will take home $100,000 in prizemoney after one of the biggest weeks of his career.
