Andy Murray kept fans guessing about whether he's going to play at the French Open this month.
While the likes of Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic will be heading to the French capital eager to add to their Roland Garros triumphs there are still some big names missing.
Roger Federer is one of them. He hasn't recovered in time from knee surgery and won't feature. The Swiss veteran has not played on the ATP Tour since last year’s Wimbledon.
Murray has also had his fair share of injury problems and a recent return to clay-court action had British fans getting excited - but will he be fit enough to make the short trip to Paris?

Is Andy Murray playing at the 2022 French Open?
Sadly, Murray won't be competing at the second grand slam of the year.
The 35-year-old said back in February he would skip the whole clay-court season in a bid to focus his attention on the grass and Wimbledon, but then surprised many by changing his mind and entering the Madrid Open as a wildcard.
Murray beat Dominic Thiem and Denis Shapovalov en route to the third round before pulling out of his game with Djokovic through illness.
Having been named in the French Open draw, the Scot has now confirmed he'll be sticking with his original plan to prioritise preparations for Wimbledon at the expense of Roland Garros.
Why is Andy Murray not playing on clay this year?
The three-time Grand Slam winner has never usually produced his best tennis on clay and given his struggles since two hip surgeries, the last being in 2019, Murray is keen to prolong his career as long as possible.
Murray has featured just once at the French Open since 2017, which saw him suffer a disappointing first-round defeat in 2020.
The world No.69 recently reunited with former coach Ivan Lendl and clearly believes some added time on the practice court for Wimbledon, where he feels he has the best chance of success, is better suited to his physical capabilities than playing at the French Open.
His best ever result in the French capital saw him reach the final in 2016 when he lost to Djokovic in four sets.

When will Andy Murray play next?
Murray is expected to return to the UK to continue his preparations for the grass-court season, which begin in early June.
Last year, the two-time Wimbledon champion confirmed he'd begin his preparations by playing at the Mercedes Cup in Stuttgart which starts on June 4.
He could then head to the Championships at Queen's Club (June 13-19), a tournament he's won five times, with his ultimate goal being to arrive in optimum shape when Wimbledon begins on June 27.
