Australia's contingency at the French Open has received a mixed draw ahead of the final grand slam of the year.
Alex de Minaur, Australia’s top-ranked man, has been drawn against a qualifier for the first round.
However, he is set for a mouth-watering clash against German six seed Alexander Zverev in the third round, who is fresh off a narrow five-set loss to Austrian Dominic Thiem in the US Open final.
The news wasn't as good for John Millman, who will need to get past 17th seed Pablo Carreno Busta if he wishes to make the second round of the French Open for the first time in his career.
It marks the fifth straight year that the 31-year-old will face a seeded opponent in the opening round at Roland Garros.
Jordan Thompson, James Duckworth and Alexei Popyrin will all face unseeded opponents, with world number 190 Aleksandar Vukic waiting to hear his fate after managing to get through qualifying after defeating Chinese Taipei's Jason Jung in three sets.
Meanwhile, in the men's side of the draw, US Open champion Thiem was dealt a difficult start as he faces grand slam champion Marin Čilić whilst grand slam champions Andy Murray and Stan Wawrinka shape as the marquee match for the opening round.

With world number one Ash Barty choosing to opt-out of the rest of the 2020 season, the three Australian women left in the singles draw have received nightmare pairings for the opening round, with all three drawing a seeded opponent.
World number 64 Ajla Tomljanovic, who is the top-ranked Australian woman in the draw, will face Greek 20th seed Maria Sakkari in the first round, who narrowly fell to Serena Williams in the fourth round of the US Open.
Gavrilova, who enters the draw with a protected ranking in her return from injury, faces 24th seed Dayana Yastremska whilst debutant Madison Inglis takes on 27th seed Ekaterina Alexandrova.
Astra Sharma will look to join them in the main draw, with the 25-year-old set to face Italian Martina Trevisan in the final round of qualifying.
Serena Williams, still bidding for a record-equalling 24th major title, is set to meet Victoria Azarenka in round four, who defeated her in the semi-finals at Flushing Meadows before falling to eventual champion Naomi Osaka.
Top-ranked Romanian Simona Halep joins them in the same half, with Halep likely to face Kiki Bertens in the quarter-finals whilst Czech stars Karolina Pliskova and Petra Kvitova were drawn in the same section as former champion Jelena Ostapenko and Germany's Angelique Kerber.
