Did Alex de Minaur win last night?

Alex de Minaur's fantastic run at the French Open came to an end, as he was defeated in straight sets by Alexander Zverev.

It was still a tightly fought and close encounter, with the Aussie going down by narrow margins in each set, including a tiebreak in the second.

Despite his best efforts, he fell to the German in the tiebreak 7-5, and was unable to recover as he lost the final set 6-4.

His great form at the grand slam will most likely see him enter the top 10 of the ATP World Rankings, potentially moving up to a career high ninth seed.
